Windows 10 will receive a print lock from Windows 11.

According to a new report from Windows Latest, Microsoft intends to bring a feature from the most recent version of Windows 11 to Windows 10. This feature could be included in the forthcoming 22H2 upgrade, which is expected to come later this year. The print lock function, which requires a pin every time the user accesses the printer, is reportedly coming to Windows 10 with the upcoming upgrade. Although it may not appear to be a significant upgrade, Microsoft may be introducing new features to Windows 10 users.

Why should Microsoft update Windows 10 with new features? Windows 11 has not been warmly received by users since its release. According to a research-based report published by Lawsweeper, an IT Management firm, less than 2% of total Windows users were using Windows 11 until March of this year, with Windows 10 being the most popular. Furthermore, Microsoft has stated that Windows 10 will be supported until 2025. As a result, it only makes sense to introduce additional features for Windows 10 users.
